THE IRP-LE100's are hand held thermal devices with fantastic clarity.  These are the beginning of the IR Patrol series, and worth considering.  These units come with a small rail on top to attach an additional device such as a laser.  
The IR Patrol has the highest performance thermal core, along with the leading 640x480 VGA OLED Micro Display, together these two features provide the user optimal detection capabilities.  All IR Patrol systems are made to superior quality and stringent US standards and are 100% made in the USA. Menu and Operating features:
  • Polarity - The MaxPol feature allows for 3 levels of white hot, and 3 levels of black hot
  • E-Zoom - This unit has a digital magnification zoom of 2x, 4x, and 8x (note your resolution decreases as you increase magnification)
  • Brightness- Yes you can control the brightness
  • DFC or Digital Focus Control - Lets you soften or sharpen the image. When using this be aware you could increase the noise levels of the image so be careful.
  • DCE or Digital Contrast Enhancement - Helps the black and white stand out more
  • NUC or Non-Uniformity Calibration - To improve image quality.
